About Me

About Me

My journey into naturism didn’t start with a philosophy or a movement — it started quietly in nature.

Long before I ever visited a nude beach or understood what naturism really was, I found myself naturally drawn to moments of freedom outdoors. During hiking trips and hunting trips, I would occasionally skinny dip in remote lakes, rivers, and creeks. There was something about those moments that felt different — peaceful, simple, honest, and deeply connected to nature.

At the time, I didn’t fully understand why those experiences stayed with me so strongly. I just knew I felt more relaxed, more present, and more myself when I was out in nature without the constant pressure and distraction of everyday life.

Eventually, curiosity led me to visit a nude beach for the first time.

That experience changed something for me.

What I expected to feel and what I actually experienced were completely different. Instead of awkwardness or anything sexual, what I found was freedom, normalcy, acceptance, and a surprising sense of peace. I realized that non-sexual nudity could exist in a healthy, respectful, and natural way.

That curiosity eventually led me deeper into naturism, nude hiking, and a new understanding of the relationship between the body, nature, and freedom.

Over time, I began to realize that removing clothing also removed something mental:

  • shame
  • comparison
  • performance
  • pressure
  • self-consciousness

Nature has a way of simplifying things.

Out on the trail, stripped of distraction, status, and expectation, I found a stronger connection not only to the outdoors — but to myself.

That journey is what eventually inspired me to create Hiking Without a Stitch.

My goal is not to shock people or push boundaries for attention. My passion is helping people understand that:

  • nudity is not inherently sexual
  • naturism can coexist peacefully with outdoor recreation
  • people can experience freedom while still being considerate of others

I’m deeply passionate about public lands, responsible stewardship, and respectful naturism. I believe the outdoors should be approached with humility, kindness, and care — both for nature and for the people sharing these spaces.

Through hiking, storytelling, podcasting, and education. I hope to help reduce stigma around the human body, encourage respectful outdoor ethics, and create conversations rooted in freedom, simplicity, nature, and understanding.

At the end of the day, this journey has never really been about being naked.

It has been about feeling free.
